Server Pause

I am running Lotus Notes Domino server on a Windows 2000 server. The server program is run as a system service task that starts automatically on boot-up.

Now and again the notes service pauses indefinately until we go to the notes window command prompt and press ENTER or type in a console command (SH US).

When we do this the service resumes and all inbound and outbound mail starts flowing again.

Comments / Ideas anyone to stop this pause?

I had this problem awhile back, it seems to happen whenever the domino console is double clicked with the mouse and the way we knew it was paused is because the Tile changes to SELECT Lotus Domino Server.

As you said to fix it you need to press enter, though if you want a long term fix:
right click on the Domino task on the Start Bar and select properties
In the options tab deselect "QuickEdit Mode"
Click OK
Then select "Save properties for future windows with same title"

That should do it, you can test by double clicking on the domino console, it should not pause now.

Hope this helps
