hi,

I have a 3 server network of 2 windows 2000 servers and 1 Small Business Server 2003 behind a PIX506E firewall. I have 5 static public ips. Last night, when i tried to do a one-to-one nat translation with the 3 servers, the 2 windows 2000 servers worked just fine, but the windows 2003 SBS server did not properly translate. Doing a show xlate, showed all 3 translations, but the SBS server could not get out to the internet, nor could did it have the public internet interface. Once I took out the static translation to the SBS server, it worked just fine accessing the internet. I'm wondering if there is something I can do on the PIX to troubleshoot why the SBS server is not translating properly and how I can determine that it is in fact something with the SBS server that is causing this.

thanks for any help.

Posting the config might help.

Chris.

Here is the config below...Server3 is the SBS 2003 server that won't translate...Both Server2 and Server1 translated fine running Windows 2000 Server.

Thanks..

Can you also post a 'sh xlate' with all three translations in place?

Chris.

One possibility is that you haven't got all those addresses that you think. Try using the .66 or .68 for the w2k3 server instead and see if the problem follows the public ip address

Do you have more than one NIC card on the W2K3 server? If so make sure the packets are going off the correct NIC card.

Thanks for all input...Because the client needed to get up and running, I wasn't able to do your above recommendations...However, when I go back to this client, I will be sure to try it...

Thanks...
