Server not slow to download

Hi there, I have set up a server with 2003 on a seperate ADSL internet connection through a basic ADSL netgear router, however it seems to download very slowly off the net(takes for ever to load a page).

Its not the internet connection as i have tried another machine with the same IP settings and it works fine, commucincation between the router and this server seems to be very intermitent.

Any suggestions as to anything on server 2003 I can change?

First thing to consider is that directly exposing to the Internet is not a great idea without plenty of firewalls etc.

That said this could be a firewall issue on the server or perhaps IE security settings. The security settings by default are tighter than XP for example.
