Hey guys it's me yet again...

I'm learning alot about all this stuff and the network at work is running better than ever, it's down to the nit picky stuff now.

I have a few programs that run off the Server2 and it crashed and I had to replace it with my personal computer while the motherboard is being fixed.

The error that's happening is that it can't be recognized by it's name "Server2" I have to type in the IP Address "10.222.0.201"

I have active directory installed Both S1 and S2 are domain controllers. Everything runs great, including DFS Replication. It's Windows Server 2003.

Any Ideas? Where can I start?

Did you rename your computer "Server2"?

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Yes, I have done that it's basically the same computer hard drives etc except a different motherboard.

And the IP address is the same as the dead server?

Yes it is.

Now instead of an In Out port on the motherboard that the old one had I have to use two Network Cards and they work fine for now but we will be getting the other one back.

I'm just trying to confirm this isn't a software/AD problem.
