This is probably very very basic information, but I still need to ask. Does Networker use the NT filesystem policies when it comes to sharing, and file-access?
If someone asked me for an answer I would say yes.
The reason I'm asking is because the company I'm working for wants to do a database backup on a server that is on the outside of a firewall, and it's not logged on to any domain, I just looked at the network info and it only had the standard "workgroup" tag under workgroup (really!)
The entire network is basically a big mess, since the company that used to be responsible for it really didn't give a darn it seems like.
I got 13 hops on a traceroute I did towards the server outside the firewall. Anyone got any suggestions?
oh, and sorry about the long post, just been doing some documentation too, so my fingers are sorta used to typing a lot right now.
