Hi, I am new to VI. I had a SQL server 2000 database set up, but I couldn't register if I type in IP address in the client network utility. It only works if I typed in URL. The same problem happens when I tried to use VI to connect to that SQL Server. I add a ADO connection to that SQL server and at this point I could see the database objects in the data view panel. Then I drag and drop a recordset and a text field from the toolbox, and I made sure they refer to the connection I just created. Then when I released the working copy and view the page using regular browser, I got an error message saying that the SQL server not found.

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server (0x80004005)
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]Specified SQL server not found.

Help, and thanks a lot!!
