Hi all,

I host a few quiet sites on one server using host headers, what I'd like to know is, if somebody enters the I.P of the server instead of the domain name is there any way that I can return the Server not found message in place of the "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)" message they currently receive.

Thanks for reading.

If you receive this message in the browser, you can modify the default error message displayed by modifying the associated error's .htm file. Ex) If the message is 403.5 for instance, you can go to the website properties-->custom errors tab-->and modify the associated file. Restart your site and should appear the way you want

Thanks, I'll take a look at that, the problem is if you return an error of any kind that's just another why of saying there is a server at this I.P address, where as I'd like it to act as if there is no server to be found (like time out errors).

Thanks for your time.
