Server.MapPath not returning full path info

Here's what I'm trying to map the path to.

Server.MapPath("\application\html\&quot

Here is what is being returned

c:\inetpub\wwwroot\application\html

However, this is not correct. The actual path is:

c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dpsu\application\html

The above is what should be returned but for some reason IIS(?) isn't returning this value. Previously this was working fine and then yesterday I noticed that none of the paths were being mapped properly on my development server.
