I am trying to setup some report monitoring on a SBS 2003 Server but the Server Management console is missing? Usually you can click Start, Server Management and get into the console. I tried HELP but the link to open it also doesn't work.

Thanks

The first IT guys that setup the SBS Server failed to finish the SBS Setup Icon on the desktop. That means none of the SBS information has been installed. There is no way I can tell how to setup just the reporting part of the SBS server. It looks like I have to completely finish the SBS install before I can look at any monitoring or reporting. My next question is: Does anyone know if I go through the setup process, will it incorporate the AD and DNS that is already installed or will it ask me to setup everything new which could be a nightmare.

Thanks
Freddy

You can do a repair installation which will keep everything in order. Essentially this is an in-place upgrade, and will work as long as your SBS media is not an OEM version.

With the operating system running, insert CD1 and proceed with an upgrade installation.

Of course, you should always do a full backup prior to beginning so that you can roll back if necessary.
