Hello everyone. I have a server that starts out with a statically assigned IP address. At random times it it suddenly becomes unavailiable and upon investigation its IP configuration has changed, not that the DHCP option is selected but that the IP address and Mask has changed entirely, almost as if it took a DHCP address and assigned it statically. This is a Windows 2003 Enterprise server that is patched and upto date, virus protection is in place and definition are current.

assigned IP: 10.8.7.11
assigned mask: 255.255.254.0

randomly changes to

new IP: 10.50.238.200
new mask: 255.255.255.0

This is a Dell 1850 server for hardware.

I'm a bit stumped and hope someone has seen this before and maybe found a cause, thanks for any help!
