Hello,

I'm having an issue here with SQL Server 2000. I installed the server using a local account and choosing Windows Authentication. This worked fine except that now the client wants to change the local account's password for security reasons. However I find that if I change the local account's password and reboot the computer, SQL Server will not startup giving a logon failure (err 1069). How can I fix this so that SQL server will run after changing the local account's password? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Click Start -> Run
Type Services.msc
Scroll to MSSQLSERVER
Right click -> Properties
Click Logon tab

Repeat the process for the SQL Server Agent Service Name = SQLSERVERAGNT
