Can someone please explain to me what i need to do for Server Licensing.
I have purchased 350 Server licenses and 300 Terminal Server Licenses. We run in Per Seat Mode.
I have installed the Terminal Server Licenses correctly but seem to have some really strange license usage within the Administrator Licensing snapin for the server licenses.

The figures stated in the Licenses snap in are far higher than the amount of users that i have.
I am just worried that if i dont put the Server licenses in the right place, or the right way my Active directory will stop working if there is a kind of "grace period"

Can i just install the 350 on say the PDC in the AD and then not worry about it??

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

The Licensing Service on a W2K server is really just there to help the Administrator keep up with his/her licensing. It's not required the same way a TS license is. The AD will keep on working with or without you entering the licenses that you've purchased. The important thing is that you have a license for every user thats going to access network resources on the server(s).
