I have a server that on its c:, it is low on disk space. Are there any common files that I need to look for to delete? What do I need to delete? I don't want to expand what I already have.

Just the major ones for starters.

Mind you, it's much harder to guess what might be taking up space without knowing what OS you are running or what programs your server might be running.
I know a bunch of troublesome files in Webtrends, for example, that may or may not apply to your particular situation.
It seems easier to list your major services than potential fixes for all unknown services ;)
I'd look for *.mp3, *ntuninstall*.*, *.tmp ,*.chk, and *.log for starters.
What I'd do with them depends on where they are and what they might be doing there.
Did this problem just suddenly develop, or has it been accumulating over time?

I'm simply asking due to seeing so many admins fighting years to keep free space on their 2gb server partition...

also it dosnt hurt to just run the disk clean utility built into windows to see what space it can clear. It should be on your start menu under accesories, system tools
