server is getting wrong IP address

Here is the deal, got 3 servers 1 is DNS Server. Now, when I ping server 3 using its name won't access it and show me a diferent IP. if I ping same server using its IP then a get to it. last friday it was OK, but today is behaving that way. we did a restore of the DNS SERVER on friday cause of the blaster. we are using windows 2000 server on the 3 servers, got SP4 and patches from MS installed. any clue
 
Not sure why that may have happened. An easy way around it would be to manually add the Host record for server 3 in your DNS snap-in.... Or if you see it is already there with the incorrect IP, modify it to be correct.
