Anyone every put a Dell R630 in a 2 post rack? If so, what did you use to mount it? Thanks.

I never have, but it sounds like a pain. Might be easier to just put a rack shelf there and put the server on it.

Yeah they make a special rail kit. But it's easier and cheaper to just use a shelf. Use one that is set upside down so you can still nail in the server's ear screws.

Don't use a shelf - get a 2post rack mount kit. There are many sold online, I use the ones from Rack Solutions.

The shelf is a temporary solution for a permanent problem. The 2 post adapter kits will ensure the equipment stays in place, which is super important to stability of the system (literally in this case).
