Server imaging to different hardware?

Hello all,

Looking for a solution that will allow us to image and then restore to different hardware. We are changing from one hardware vendor to another and want to avoid having to reinstall many of our application servers. We would want to make this change as transparent as possible - retaining the same ip addresses, hostnames, security permissions, etc.

I think Acronis used to have a package that would do this. I am interested in other vendors and first hand experience from others.
