server has not yet been opened - :-(

I'm using crystal reports 8.0.1 and ASP to develop a web-based application. I'm trying the sample files provided by seagate. Works fine. But when i try to run my report it gives "Server has not yet been opened". If i have a report with accesses data from access database directly. the report works fine. But anywhere i try with ODBC or ADO, things get messed up. I've tried everything said by crystal n others. But still no success. I'm running win 2000, crystal 8.0, ASP and Sql Server 2000/VFP. I shall be gratefull to those who can pull me out of this rut.

In your Crystal Enterprise, see if all the services are running thru the Crystal Configuration Manager option.
