Server has not yet been opened

I have created a VB appplication that uses the CRViewer. I have three reports. One of which contains 2 sub reports. When the application is installed on the clients computer and they attempt to open the report that has the sub reports the error message "Server Has Not Yet Been Opened" pops up. This message doesn't occur when I run the application on my computer, or when they try to open the other two reports. Any ideas of what it could be?

Using straight up Crystal reports with Access 97 tables, I have experienced this myself. Sometimes it caused by not having sufficient rights to the DB. Other times it was caused by someone having the DB open exclusively.
