We have had 3 possible changes in past couple wks and since then the server hangs about 10 times a day. First, we put a new box on the network. Everything was fine the first week then one of the owners decided to move the server. Second, 2 days after the owner moved the server I changed KVM switch boxes. At first we thought memory, but have added and it still happens. Next we thought it was a dos based app we run but now it happens when no one is in the app. Any clues. NT was already being replaced by time I got into all of this and they only teach W2K in school. HELP.

Try reseating your cards in the server that is failing. Moving things around may be enough to cause a loose connection if it was not tight to begin with.

You also may want to review the hardware drivers added to the server and look for newer updates.

Do you have 328310 hotfix installed? There seems to be a serious problem with this patch on NT systems.

This hotfix can be removed via "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. Removing the fix seemed to take care of the problem for us.
