Server filter by form

I have a form2 that is based on the selection from the combo box on another form1. When the user tries to open the form2 based on combo seleection from form1, most of the times it opens right customer but occassionally the filter id gets stored in the server filter by form field under the forms2 properties. Then when we go back and delete the server filter by form it works fine.
