Server error in InterDev ASP Project

I am new to ASP and am running Visual InterDev and PWS under Win98. To help me I am working my way through "Teach Yourself E-Commerce with ASP in 21 Days" (Walther & Levine - SAMS) and am on the day 3 section entitled "Using the Global.asa File" .When I start a new project using the New Project Wizard, I get to step 4 of 4, click finish, then get the message "Server Error". Before creating the project, I have created a folder and added it to PWS, and checked the Execute check box in the Advanced tab. I am told I need to do this to use global.asa.

What am I doing wrong?

Front Page server extensions must be installed on the server where you are trying to connect. Be sure that they are, and you shouldn't have any problems with it.
