Hi Guys.
I am just try to understand this issue I have when saving a config change to the Primary server.
when saving the config it gives a warning about the gateway when merging "storing offline" mode.
The drop down Mode when Merging doesn't work to allow you to change this on the gateway to Merge
The Gate way shows up as YELLOW on the manager.
The gateway is working and in use.

The primary server is working ok and the Gateway on the Main site is working.
The Gateway on the remote site is working but shows as YELLOW in the Manager field

I have got this from the helpfiles but don't really understand it.

"Store Offline" It is possible to add a reference for a Server Edition Secondary or for a Server Edition Expansion System to create a configuration file for that system even though it is not physically present. Store Offline saves that configuration on the Server Edition Primary in its file store. The same file is retrieved from there until such time as the physical server is present at which time you are prompted whether to use the stored file or the actual servers current configuration.

Yellow - Offline Configuration Loaded The configuration loaded is an offline configuration. This will appear for a server that has been added to the solution when the physical server is not currently connected on the network and Create Offline Configuration was selected. The offline configuration file is stored on and retrieved from the primary server until it can be replaced by or replace the actual server configuration.

Anybody point me in the right direction on how to resolve this.
Thankyou

Using manager can you connect to the remote gateway?
I sounds to me that something is blocking ports.

Yes I can access the remote gateway ok.
good idea
The ports,,now that's something to look at..

Must try SSA to see if I can access that..

I just need the Brain push to get me started

Thank you.

Yellow means that it is online but not accessible from the management station. A workaround can be to enable SE central access in Manager options but it will grey out some config options. You can also use Webmanagement as a workaround
