Hi, does anyone know where the actual rpm files are stored in the Linux file system when you upload them via the add button on the settings page.

I can't find them anywhere. I want to remove old upgrade files (not sure if they do it automatically or not?)

I would really not bother. Even if they are still there they will not be doing any harm, you are far more likely to break something by accident.

Rule 1 - If it ain't broke DON'T fix it

(Rule 2 - If you cant fix it don't break it)

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

It's mainly for the major upgrade ISOs. I am running multiple systems on the same server, and don't want a load of 6GB ISOs taking up space in the virtual disks. - I know they won't be needed after they are completed.

I can't find any documentation on where they are kept.

The ISO will be extracted and deleted. The RPMs are under /var/cache/Avaya and it's subfolders.

In webmanagement under 'updates' you can find a button called 'Clear Package Cache' or similar that should delete older older RPMs.

As derfloh says, the IP Office ones can be listed through web control/platform view and deleted if needed (and there is no need). I don't know about the Centos one's but not really bothered. The only system files you ever need to worry about are log files (one-X Portal occasionally gets out of hand - meaning I've hit cases where a system not upgrading has been down to lack of disk space which has turned out to be 96GB(!) of one-X Portal log files). All the rpm files are small fry and its better for maintenance to have them there just in case.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
