Working on a proposal with Server Edition and R9, and I am looking for clarity. Customer wants to install Server Edition at their data center and serve 2 remote locations, one with 20 IP phones, the other with 50 IP phones.

Just to clarify, with R9, it is now possible to virtualize the entire server, run SIP trunks and support the 70 remote IP Phones?

Also, one of the remote sites needs 5 analog stations. I can install a IP 500V2 cabinet with an 8 station analog card. Does this remote site need a server edition license as well, or just install the IP500V2 cabinet and connect it back to the server edition at the DC, so one server edition license in total for the DC? Is this one, or two Server Edition licenses?

Yes you can run it virtual with release 9.
For 5 analog ports I would use an ATA with multiple ports and 3rd party IP endpoint licences.
The server edition needs a serve edition licence and an IPOffice needs one too as it is an expansion system.

So an ATA is probably cheaper.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
