Hi everyone!

We are currently running IPO Server Edition 11.0.4.5.0 as a VM on Hyper-V. The server is nearing end of life so we will be spinning up a VM on a new server utilizing VM Ware and will be installing Release 11.0.4 SP 8 on the new server. We're only running a primary server with no secondary or expansion systems, not using one-x or voicemail pro. The question is what is the easiest way to move the IPO config to the new VM. Is it as simple as pushing an offline config to the new server?

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

you can create a full server backup via WebManager then move that backup over to the new server and restore it. The backup has to be copied into the Other folder as it comes from a different server.

But I also recommend having the regular backups made, just in case.

1. Open Manager and save configuration (Solution level so it saves everything)
2. Make note of the current network info. Host name etc... from the System tab on the 7071 port.
3. Install new server and run the initial configuration. Make sure you add the same network info and host name.
4. Rehost licence to new server PLDS host ID. Add license to new server
5. Open Manager and push offline config you saved to the new server.

Appreciate the information! I'm trying to locate the download link to the AvayaIPOffice-2023-OVA-CertChain.crt file for the VMWare installation. It's not appearing anywhere on the Avaya/PLDS sites?

You can find it on the Avaya support site Downloads section. It's in with the Avaya IP Office 11.1 Feature Pack 3 General Availability files.

ironically I also am currently moving quite a few server editions at this time and would recommend backing it up (entire vm) with veeam and restoring it in the new location
