I'm trying to figure out the simplest way to set this up, I know I could just throw both into a hunt group, and have the incoming call route ring that group, but I want the users desk set voicemail to answer instead of the hunt group voicemail.

User wants his incoming DID to ring simultaneously on his 9608 desk set, and his polycom conference phone. I believe the fallback extension programming in the incoming call route will only ring over to the fallback extension if it is not answered by the primary destination (could be wrong.) What would be the easiest way to accomplish this? Will programming a bridged appearance on the "button programming" of the analog polycom do anything?

Thanks guys!

Use the group and direct the groups mailbox to the users in VM Pro :)

Answered my own question about the Bridged appearance, it will only let you program a bridged appearance of another analog set, not the 9608.

Any other way to accomplish this, without going the hunt group route?

So setup a hunt group containing the two extensions, and instead of using the HG Mailbox to answer, have it direct to the users individual mailbox in VMPro?

I'll give it a shot, thanks.

like defloh said use internal twinning, they if he calls from the Polycom it will show the main exztension number not the Polycom ext.

The only issue with the internal twinning I can see, is that from my experience, and I could be wrong, the extension that is being twinned to comes up as busy if you attempt to call it from anywhere else.

This polycom has it's own DID as well, so would this still work, or would the calls coming in on that DID just ring busy?

So internal twinning will not work then.

So the real only way to accomplish this is to set a Leave action on the group I've created with a Transfer to: User Mailbox in Voicemail Pro then?

Then use mobile twinning. The two extensions will be treated as single extensions but if the deskphone rings the conftel will ring as well.

As said Mobile Twinning will do what you want and give you options in the 9608s menu to send an already answered call to its twin or retrieve a twinned call from the mobile twin. I know because in the course of testing something else I did it this afternoon.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
