Server Edition 11.1.2 Phone clients/applications on Windows Laptops

What is everyone using on new Server Editions for clients to add to Windows computers. The June 23rd downloads have the one X desktop client, but the customer already has Microsoft, so don't need all the collaboration stuff that one could use in One x. I was reviewing using the Web rtc part of it as well. We are going to be turning up some remote workers over a VPN on the computer, not sbc, and use Xima for the call queing call center side. They also have their own client. So many options, but we deployed equinox on 11.0 and I hated it. Was garbage. Used communicator for web up on 9 and 10. Think maybe a little on 11 but its been a couple years since then at other sites we tried it.

Anyones input or recommendations would be great.

One-x ???
Have not used those in ages. Hated it in the beginning and never warmed up to it.
I use workplace for everything since it came out.
