SERVER DOESNT DETECT TAPE DRIVES

I have a SILO-to-BROCADE SWITCH-to SERVER setup. When I do an ioscan, only the picker arm, and fiber cards of the Ultrium tape drives show, never the drive themselves. Has anyone encountered this type of situation before?

ioscan is the command. I can see the picker arm, too, but not the tape drives.

ioscan -fnC tape?

may be you need some patches...
