I'm trying to organize an understaffed IT department. Frequently I have junior level techs coming to me with basic questions about the servers. I would like to create a three ring binger for each server and place information sheets in it about the server so my techs will have a place to go to other than paging me at lunch. Anyone out there willing to share some ideas or examples about what they are using? I was thinking about an inventory page to list hardware info, maybe a config page with setup info to help recreate the server should it suffer a melt down, and maybe some service pages to log changes and patches to the server.
