I am bulding an intranet application and therefore using integrated windows authentication , (IIS), to identify users.

However, I get the following error:
The call to Server.CreateObject failed while cheking permissions. Access is denied to this object. (ASP 0178:80070005

when trying to create a word application object when the client is on a different machine to the web app.

On my development machine, it works fine, however, when another user tries to access the page from my server, it fails.
??
Thanks

Don't know if this will help. I was recently testing some new COM .dll's that I had created. I found there was an issue because I had registered the file on my development system and not the IIS server. I had received a similar (though not the same) error message. It sounds like whatever file they're trying to access isn't on, or registered on, the server. Hope this helps.
