I had a server crash and had to rebuild it. How would I remove the server from Active Directory so that it may rejoin the domain?

If your crashed server is not a DC:

control panel, admistive tools, Active Directory Users and Computers, open the "computers" container and delete the server.

The computer was not a dc or a backup, I have tried that but it will not allow me to, I get a message saying Access Denied...I am logged on as the administrator also.

That directed me to a page for windows server 2000 and didn't tell me anything other than what you originally suggested. I did select reset account though...will that do it?
