Hi!
I have a (thankfully) non-critical NW5.1 server whose power supply popped, blowing out the SYS and VOL1 (data) sections of one HD, but leaving the second HD (VOL2) intact (I think - if I fdisk VOL2, it sees the drive and it's capacity, and Mandrake Linux's hardware profiler can even ID the drive and its manufacturer - I just don't know much about Linux to even navigate to that drive).
What are my options to either recover the data (via DOS, WinXXXX, specialized recovery software, etc.), or even better, the ability to mount it into a new Netware box? Would the act of mounting it in a new system corrupt what is on the HD already? This was a simple 500mhz box with no raids, no nothin'.
Sending it out for recovery would be silly, as the info stored there is not life-or-death, but it would be nice to get it back.
Thanks in advance!
