Server connection errors - Office 2003/Windows XP

Hi all,

I am hoping someone might be able throw light on this. Some emails are received ok, all sending is without problem But I get repeated failure messages in Outlook 2003, saying unable to connect to the POP3 server. I also use Mailwasher and I get errors reading "server connection" timed out. And not, sure if this is related, but I am also suddenly having problems uploading web pages via FTP - in 3 programmes. No settings have been changed and I am a stand alone broadband user. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks Abrilet

Sounds like a network issue to me. Do you have a local pop server there? Is the FTP port disabled through your firewall?

Hi Alex,
Thanks but no, we're not on a network. And re. the FTP issue, I have been checking that the firewall is off. There is one in the router but that's not new and was there when I originally uploaded the whole site.

Are you able to access your website at all... What kind of error are you getting?
