Hello,

Which places do you guys suggest for buying simple server cabinets. I don't need any power supplys, fans would be great. I need something in the 24U range where I can house two servers (Compaq DL360 and a Compaq DL380), Cisco Pix 506E firewall and a ISP ADSL modem. Everything is rack mount 19 inches wide except the ISP ADSL modem that will probably sit on a shelf (inside the cabinet). The monitor will sit ON TOP of the cabinet. The cabinet can have wheels or stable feet but cannot be bolted down onto the floor (which eliminates most if not all rack mount systems). I'm hoping to get this and all the hardware needed for under 600$ CAN. The only ones that I found are the ones from APC that run at 1500$ and up. I have the catalog for Hubble, Levithon, NorDX but they don't have the prices. The only thing I can find in the range of 180$ to 600$ are regular rack mount systems with open back and front but they need to be bolted down to the floor or else they would tip over. I'm in the Montreal area. I know of Nedco as the only supplier that sells this kind of system. I would like to get his by July 9th 2003 but I doubt I will be able to make this deadline. If I can't get the product by this time or at this lower already approved price, I'll have to set everything up on a table until I find something suitable. Anyways, the offices are still under construction.

Thanks

These people make some good products at a fair price. I buy a lot of their smaller cabinets for my remote sites. They make these so you can make them as nice or as plain as you want.

I usually get prices on these from Graybar and Accu-tech.

I'd try AMS. Search for them online... I think they make a 36U, I know that's bigger than you wanted -- but fairly cheap they are.
