Server Admin is not starting

Hi,
I use Arcserve 2000 sp4 on windows2000 sp3. I can make backups and restore currently, but I do not vave access to 'server admin' utility. This utility cannot start. Is there any way to reinstall Arcserve without loosing current configuration?

When you try to start the server ADMIN... does it give you an error???

Hi,
Yes - program not respond - this is the error. Is any way to fix it without loosing current configuration? By now I run repair and sp4 on it.I run this Arcserve 2000 on Windows 2000 server Sp3. But it did not help. Arcserve still can backup/restore but no access to server admin.
Any thoughts???

what aspects of the config do you not want to lose?

sounds like a broken install to me. Reinstall entirely. You won't lose your database cos you can get that back (as long as you have selected to back it up in the first place

HI,

Further to varuna's suggestion.....

you can copy the Database folder and the 0000001.qsd folder.

reinstall ARCserve and copy these folders back to their original locations...
