Is there a security setting that would allow a network user to close any open files on a server? He has written a database that is used by lots of users and I want him to be able to unlock locked files himself if the need arises. Currently it is setup so that he has 'server operator' rights and then using computer management to connect to the server look at shared folders>open files and then close the file. The problem is I don't want to him to have any additional access to the server. Thanks for any help.

Why not put the database in it's own shared folder, granting him access to that one shared folder (or drive) that way you can deny him access to the others through security, and allow him full to that drive?
