Server abends - ndID 1001C

We have Border Manager services running on netware 5 server.
At random times including weekends when activity is light, we have error message nmID 1001C appear on the console.

An error message states that a service may have been interupted and will attempt to restart. Sometimes it restarts and continues to be usable. At other times the server locks up and must be rebooted.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What version of NetWare is it (5.0 or 5.1) and with what Service Packs? Does the ABEND.LOG file detail the error in further detail?

Check out the following TID anyway, might give you some pointers. Some TIDs point to NDPS, are you running NDPS?

On a server with NW5.1 SP2, running NDPS but not Border Manager, this error message (nmID 1001C) persisted, until SP3 and a driver update for the Intel network card were completed at the same time... Hope this helps...

If you have a NetWare v5.1 Server with Sp2 installed, add this patch...

But... DO NOT if you already have NW51SP3 installed!

There were definite issues with NDPS and NW51, to say the least!
