Server 2k3 x86 on 64 bit system?

I am not very familiar with 64bit processors so I am wondering if they are "backwards compatible" at all.

Does anyone know if the 32bit version of server 2k3 will run on a 64 bit processor?

I am currently running Windows 2003 Enterprise 32-bit on Sun AMD64 based servers. Although you don't get the full benefit of the 64-bit architecture, you should have no problem running a 32-bit version of the OS. Hope this helps.
