Just an announcement of a solution found for a problem we have been skirting since Windows XP. We have a legacy FoxPro application we started writing back in 1995. Since Microsoft started putting themes into your OS we have had to set all client machines to use "Windows Classic" otherwise objects would disappear when you moved your mouse over them. By simply adding the code _Screen.Themes = .F. at the very front of our application everything has been solved. Now our Forms, SPRs, and PRGs all have no problem staying visible.

This problem came to a head when we started testing on our new Server 2012 R2, and I am assuming Windows 8, which does not have Windows Classic as a theme to set.

Just wanted to pass on the information.

Welcome to the forum - and thanks for posting this information.

I have to say that this is something that most of us have always known. I have _Screen.Themes = .F. near the top of every application I develop. Still, it's worth repeating for the benefit of anyone not aware of it.

Mike
