I am about to purchase a few new server blades for my HP blade system and will be loading Server 2012 and creating a 3 node Hyper-V cluster. My question is my current 2008 R2 Hyper-V cluster is running on Intel servers and I am seriously looking at switching to AMD to get twice the core count compared to the Intel choice. I know even on my current version, all I have to do is export and import my VMs to the new AMD servers, but I guess what I'm asking is...is there something that by being on 2012, will make that process less tedious, say if I needed to just copy from one to the other?
