We just recently installed Windows Server 2008 64bit and loaded the appropriate drivers for our printers which include HP Laserjet 4200, 4000, 4050. But everytime we try to go into the properties of these printers it asks us for the drivers again. This does not affect our ability to print just when we need to check properties. Was wondering if anyone has run into this problem before

Sorry have not seen that. You installed both x64 and x86 drivers?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

Yes I installed the 64 bit driver than went to the button that said additional drivers and installed the x86 drivers.

Does this happen if you do it as admin or just a user account?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark

I have only tried it used an admin account but I would imagine the regular user accounts would not be any better.

I am at a loss to offer any other suggestions. We've setup many such instances without ever seeing this problem. Sorry.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Mark
