Hi all,
Have been trying to research the limitations of using DFS with a new Server 2008 domain.
I'm aware that with a Server 2003 domain there was a folder limit of 5,000.
Now, my new domain is comprised of purely Server 2008 domain controllers but so that I can utilise a few existing 2003 servers I had planned to use Forest/Domain Functional level of 2003.
Would this therefor mean that my DFS would still be limited to 5,000 objects?
As a means by which to backup to another server onsite DFS appeals but unfortunatly the folder structure would smash through the 5000 limit!
