Server 2003

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but here goes.

I am not using an exchange server but I do have a problem with POP3 2003server.
I am getting my email using the POP3 feature in windows server 2003. when I go to my desktop I download my mail it comes in duplicates. on my server there isn't any dups listed just one mail but when I dowload my mail from my 2003server the same thing pops up twice. I think the problem might be in outlook 2003. I updated the program with the patches and fixes and increased the amount of time to automaticly get my mail, and still the same thing.
does anyone know of any setting that can fix this

Recreate your Outlook profile.

I did. It didn't help. I recently installed windows xp on a laptop and installed outlook from scratch. it did the same thing.

Anything Else?

Make sure you don't have any forwarding going on that could cause this.

no fowarding. it's just a windows 2003 pop3 server. no exchange involved.
