Hello,
I have installed MS Win. Server 2003. I am and would like to continue running it as a standalone server. The events log shows that it HAS to be a primary domain controller? Is there any way to just run the OS as a primary, give it an IP and let it just serve applications? I do not have and do not wish to have a MS domain with this thing at the top.

Regards,

I guess you don't HAVE to make it a PDC or use Active Directorie but to my feeling you might as well use windows XP Pro and setup a peer to peer.
You lose all the nice functionality if you dont make it a PDC with AD.

It is not that hard if you just leave it with the standard settings and works fine.

Good Luck

Pim
