Is it possible for a Windows 2003 server to join an existing windows NT domain?
Any pitfalls that I should be aware of?

No issues for 2003 member servers. I would just caution you that this will probably assume the role of master browser on the subnet though - something you may want to supress depending on your layout...

I have a similar problem. The 2003 box joined the NT domain without a problem, however I cannot add users from the NT domain. For example, this box is running ISA, I would like to use NT4 groups in the ISA permissions. However, when going to add users I only have one option in the locations field, the 2003 server (no NT domain, and no domain users). Any ideas?

Do you have your windows 2003 server pointing to your WINS servers?

Yes, WINS and DNS point to working NT4 servers.
