Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone can help me. The two of us in the IT department have never had to do certifications before and the one for our OWA has just run out. We have managed to create another one and appears to be there and people can now log into OWA now but for some reason when you go to log in vai https its coming up with an error saying that the certfication is not valid and when you view certicate its still displaying the old one. We have installed the new one to all the places the old one appeared and restarted server and certain service even stopped the IIS website and put it back but we are still getting this error. Please can some one contact me at max @ hotchkiss.co.uk to help us or if you know something we are missing please could you advice.

Thanks Max

Sounds like the site is not using the right cert. When you view the certificate in IIS manager are you seeing the old or the new cert?

(yay! shameless advertising. my side business)

Yes the new Cert appears in IIS manager we put the new one in restarted the machine and nothing would work I suggested restarting IIS rather then the machine and that got OWA working and the RED X's to disappear but if you view the cert when going to the website it still has the old date on.

how did you request and install the old certificate?

if you look in the local computer\personal\certificates store, are both the old and new certificate in there?

cryptography svcs in windows will use the first one it finds if 2 certs with same name exist, in most cases, this will be the old certificate
