Serve Raid

Hi ya

I have downloaded serveraid 6.11 i have a netfinity 5500 41x i have been having problems with the raid on this server 5 drives are ddd in the bios but lights are green would like to configure this but when i booted off the cd it get to the xserver and then reboots the system

Are you performing a new RAID configuration or trying to salvage the data already on the drives? If the former, how much RAM is installed? The CD requires at least 128MB, but if you have more than 2GB, try reducing it to <2GB and try again. If the latter, read IBM's doc on RAID recovery:

Many thanks for your reply im doing a new raid configuration i have 256mb of ram but the funny thing is the server only brings up 255MB
