hi

Just connected the Series 7 LDAP to ReportNet.

Seems everything working quite fine, If I logon to Series 7 and access ReportNet, its not asking login details again and vice versa also.

But found one peculiar thing.
1. Login from the ReportNet,
2. Logoff from Series 7
3. Access ReportNet
4. You'll notice user already loged in !!!

in all the other cases login/logoff worked irrespective of the from where to do it.

anyone noticed this one? may be i am missing some setting incorrectly, i am beginer to ReportNet.

regards,
sudhi

This is functionality. ReportNet uses passports and Series 7 uses tickets. Logging out of one, does not remove both cookies, but instead just removes the one that you logged out of.

Interesting... we've seen a similar issue. We're using Siteminder to establish single sign on from our portal. We have ReportNet opening in a frame, and the user can navigate away from ReportNet to another section of the portal without logging out. In testing we found that, if we log out of our portal and log in as a different user in the same Internet Explorer session, and then click the link to ReportNet, we are logged in to ReportNet as the previous user, rather than taking the credentials from the current user. It works fine if the user logs out of ReportNet.

This hasn't been a huge priority for us, as having two different users log in to the portal on the same PC and same Internet Explorer session is unlikely.

Don't forget, sometimes the user name that appears in ReportNet is NOT the user that you are actually logged in with. This happens because of the caching that some browsers do. When logged in as a second user, hit refresh to see if the same name appears.
