Serial port commands to log out and license migration query

The other day, I needed to reset the passwords as we needed the License Migration file for a possible upgrade and it was because we didn't have them yet as a customer and whilst plugged in via the serial port and waiting for permission to do the reset, I checked the LAN status and then tried to use the command to reset the passwords.

I discovered that I couldn't do this no matter what I did. Keying in "help" shows all the serial port commands, but I was still stuck with the hello> prompt and I couldn't find out how to get back to the beginning where I wanted to do the reset command.

I had to resort to asking the customer if I could reset the phone system so that I could attempt to do the reset password again. Fortunately, It worked this time and all was well.

My guess is that I should have done the password reset prior to going into debug mode?.

One final query is if it was possible to extract the license migration file directly from the SD card rather than via the Manager tool?.
This would prevent having to get the passwords reset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated please?.

No, you need to use manager. If you can't open the config, then yeah, you'll need to reset passwords.
And no, there isnt a command to reset security settings from debug, you have to be at the main DTE screen (not hello) to do an at-securityresetall
though, there is a command to reboot the ipo from debug, so the customer wouldn't have to. It's just 'reboot'. Hell you can reboot it from monitor too.

Thanks AACON. You have answered my two queries and what I had to do on site was the only way possible.
I did use "reboot" command from the debug command successfully.
I'm guessing that the license migration file uses information that is stored on the Motherboard rather than the SD card.
