Hello, I'm in the middle of an equipment audit and can not find an item. The auditor has given me a serial number, but not a correct description. He thinks it's a network printer. The serial number is SG64812XXX. Anybody know of a place to do a reverse lookup by serial number? It might be an external JetDirect interface, not sure. thanks.

If those are just X's, then it's not a complete serial number. If you have the complete #, check with HP, or whatever model it could be. What do you use mostly on the network?

No, I just put in the X's for privacy/security. I've tried HP with no luck. It's an old printer, probably been gone long from here, but it also could be an old JetDirect external interface, not sure. Thanks.

What about old depreciation schedules. Perhaps a clue could be found there.
